Our kennel block is of brick construction and holds 20 kennels. Each kennel is 24 square feet, with a covered run of 30 square feet, to which the dogs have access from 7.30am till bedtime, when they are not enjoying play/exercise time. Both the bed area and the runs have 6 feet ceilings.
New Customers
Most guests settle into our kennels without a problem. However, some animals, particularly first time guests, can take a little longer to settle and we therefore ask that if you’ve not used our kennels before, your dog(s) comes in for a trial day prior to a longer booking. This is especially important if your dog has never been in kennels before. As well as giving us a chance to get to know your pet(s), it’s also good to assess their suitability for kennels & to make sure they will be happy staying with us. It may also help to provide familiar items such as a toy or their own bedding. Our only restriction is that these items must be able to fit into a normal-sized washing machine (accidents do happen!).
Vaccinations
All dogs must be fully vaccinated including the kennel cough vaccine and proof of vaccination needs to be provided on their first visit here so that a copy can be taken for our files. We will then need to see it annually once the boosters have been given and the card updated. Please note that if your dog is starting their vaccinations from the beginning, either because they’ve never been vaccinated or the boosters weren’t given in the recommended time period, we cannot look after your dog(s) until 2 weeks AFTER the 2nd injection has been given. Please also note that the Infectious Tracheo Bronchitis vaccine (commonly called Kennel Cough) is a mandatory requirement for all dogs staying at our kennels & must be given a clear 7 days BEFORE your dog is due to come to us.
Food
We stock a range of both wet & dry dog food but are happy for you to provide their own food, especially if they are on a particular diet.

We are happy to administer all types of medication at no extra cost
Exercise & play
All dogs are exercised at least 3 times per day & we have large secure exercise areas to allow the dogs to run free & play ball (if that’s their thing) or to just amble around the grassed area if they prefer. Dogs can also be walked on the lead around our one acre meadow.
The individual exercise needs of your dog will be discussed with you to make sure your pet enjoys their stay with us as much as possible.
